OREGON, WI – June 24, 2026 – Kyle Steckly charged from deep in the field to capture the Capital 200 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch at Madison International Speedway, earning the second ASA STARS National Tour victory of his career.
Steckly qualified 14th for the 200-lap event, leaving the Milverton, Ontario driver with plenty of work to do against one of the toughest fields in Super Late Model racing.
The Wilson Motorsports team and crew chief Bond Suss gave Steckly a fast car that came to life as the race progressed. Steckly steadily worked his way through the field before making the winning move on lap 139 following the final segment restart, taking advantage of fresh tires to power into the lead.
Once out front, Steckly pulled away from the field to secure the victory while also earning the Hard Charger Award, a $500 bonus for advancing the most positions during the race.
The victory marks Steckly's second career ASA STARS National Tour triumph, following his breakthrough win in the prestigious Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway in 2024. It also continues the strong momentum for the Canadian standout as he competes against the best Super Late Model drivers across North America.
The ASA STARS National Tour returns to action on July 25 at Newport Speedway in Newport, Tennessee, where Steckly and the team will look to continue their winning form.
